Looking for Ancien Pinot Noir

I recently enjoyed at a restaurant a Pinot Noir by the Ancien Winery, in Napa. I have since been unable to locate it for retail sale. Can anybody help me?

Don't know this brand...maybe a private label?

Navarro Winery in Anderson Valley does produce a wine they call "Cuvee Ancien" or some such.

Your best shot is just call the restaurant and ask them.

Interesting that you are looking for info on Ancien wines. They are a very small producer in Napa. I, in fact drank a bottle of their '96 Pinot last night and it was terrific. They only produce 300 cases a year. I am in the process of trying to get on the list for their next release, but it is difficult. Very few people know this wine, but it is beautifully produced; I just wish I had the willpower not to drink it now...

I bought a case of the 95 and 96 Ancien at St. Helena Wine Merchants in Napa.Their # is 800-729 9463. It is a wonderful wine. Another great small producer is W.H. Smith, also bought at SHWM. Good Luck.WW
