1998 Peller Estates, Niagara Peninsula, VQA Vidal Icewine. 10% alc./vol.

Received this as a gift and I have no experience with Icewines or Canadian wines for that matter. Tn's or info on this estate?......and WW, do desert whites still qualify as sissy?

I thought WW had said something in the past about all whites being sissy......... But I dare not try to put words in his mouth, it might interfere with the red wine that's there.

Drewskie, Ice-wines, Sauternes, Barsacs, and all other late-harvest juices are lumped together under Sissy-Whites WITH ATTITUDE! `Smatter of fact after a wonderful nite out last nite, opened a Chambers " Rosewood Vineyards " Tokay that was a killer. Had a whopping 19.6% alcohol. Capped wunnerful evening. winoweenie

C'mon, ww, admit it: it's the alcohol. You know, some sissy Gewurztraminers come in at 13 to 14 percent... .

As for Peller, that is one I have not explored, but I can say that Ontario, Ca. has come a long way toward quality wine production since when I first visited in the eighties. I think Innkeeper has something to say on this subject. They make great ice wines in Ontario Province, and they make a lot of other good wines too.

Foodie and Drew, I have no idear whas the alcohol in any-thin I drink, jes` know whevver I like it or not. The only Ice-Wines I have are from the 83 German vintage, and believe me I like them suckers. The lil` bottle from Australia from last nite was keen. winoweenie
