IT ALSO SAYS ON THE LABEL "MIS EN BOUTEILLE CALVET NEGOCIANT ELEVEURES A BORDEAUX,GIRONDE,FRANCE. AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LABEL THE NAME OF THE IMPORTER IS LISTED-
MATTHEW GLOAG AND SONS LIMITED PERTH.HOPE THIS INFO WILL HELP FURTHER.

Hi Jock and your clarification helps. La Fluer is a mystery as the vineyard is owned by Madame Lacoste, owner of Petrus, and Christian Mouiex, yet turns out at best only mediocre wines. Haven't had but one of their wines and was so unimpressed I didn't even record tasting notes. My guess is that the wine is way over the hill. One sure way is to have your significant other over, have a good bottle in reserve, and pop the cork on that hummer. WW By the way Jock this board is designed to make threads with continuity so you don't have to start a new one every time you post. Just go to your previous post and hit the reply key. That way everything is easy to follow.
