Consumed at Upstream Restaurant, Charlotte, NC, I forgot to ask the vintage on this.
Indirect lighting but looked to be gold rather than straw color. Some viscosity. Light to medium body and slightly sweet taste. Flavor hovers between pear and peach with a little apple too. Nice with the peach chutney that came with my dish of pecan-crusted trout and green beans (I asked them to substitute mushroom risotto for the garlic mashed potatoes). The Riesling definitely tasted less sweet with the food; more sweet by itself. The Riesling made a nice impression overall. I see that the 2000 vintage was a "wine of the week" for Northwest Wine Press or some such. It had 1.8% residual sugar.
