Wonders had recently reported about a possible decline in the '04, so I wanted to crack this '05 ASAP. It seems that the Two Mountain Rieslings need to be consumed pretty quickly. This one was our favorite Riesling from our whole WA trip last year, but it's lost it's light vibrancy and all the little floral, honeyed nuances that made it so wonderful. Mostly lemon-lime left on this one, with brisk acidity. Frankly, it reminded me more of a Sauvignon Blanc. Not bad, but not as wonderful as at the winery. Should have cracked this shortly after getting the shipment last fall. We paid about $14. Alc. 11.8%.
