Glass for $10 at high-end restaurant, Elliott's at Linden, Pinehurst, NC.

Pale to medium straw color. I don't list aromatic indentifiers because I couldn't tie it to a particular fruit or scent but thought the aroma was pleasant. Refreshing and crispy on the palate. Very balanced, clear, and pure on the palate. Food-friendly although not the best match to the tomato-sauced chicken/artichoke linguine dish (I thought it was going to have a white sauce.) It matched better with the corn/leek cold soup (like a vichysoisse) with truffle oil (yummy). I also had a very nice spinach salad with sliced strawberries, goat cheese and candied pecans.
Other offerings included elk, New Zealand lamb, bison, etc. The restaurant was celebrating July as bison and blueberry month with specials on the menu.

I like their Pinot Gris as well. That soup sounds like a killer.

Always liked Willakenzie ever since we visited them about 10 years ago and tried their stuff for the first time. It was even more interesting to find out that Bernie Lacroute and Judy worked together about 10 years before that.
