1997 Hogue Merlot

Someone brought this to a friend's house & it was opened as a sipper. Wasn't payin' close attention, but...

Pretty, clear garnet color. Pleasant nose, but not a sipper. Decent fruit, but a slight bitter tinge on the edge. Needed food, or at least a healthy shot of sparkling apple cranberry juice & brandy to make it a decent sangria!
