This is from one of the winery operations related to Three Sisters Vineyards in Dahlonega, Georgia. It's a NV table wine made from a blend of Cynthiana-Norton, Cab Franc (which actually does OK in certain areas of the S. Appalachians), Merlot (which struggles down here), and Cab Sauv (which struggles even more, but some winemakers persist in trying it, even though their efforts would be better served with red grapes like Mourvedre, Tannat, and Touriga, all of which show far more promise). Really great packaging, with a hefty Burgundy-style bottle, and a fun label with a fat pig chewing on wine grapes. Anyway, the wine inside is just so slightly off-dry, and it shows nice red and black fruits and some spiciness on the finish. Not a really serious wine, but fun to drink. It would also be a nice foil to spicy BBQ in the summer. Not a bad effort for GA. We paid about $15 for it at the winery. Oddly, nowhere on the label does it indicate alc %, which I thought was required.
