NY Wine and Food Classic 2006

Here was my take on this year's NYWFC, where Hermann Wiemer took the Governor's Cup for his 2005 Dry Riesling: http://www.epicurious.com/features/news/dailydish/081806

Dr. Konstantin Frank won Winery of the Year, a nice result, given Willy Frank's passing away earlier this year. Chateau Lafayette Reneau couldn't have been far behind, however, because they racked up medals across the board.

Both Wiemer and Chateau LR were omitted in the WS May cover story on NY wine country!

Nice report Scoop. I think Wiemer was mentioned in passing in WS, but nothing on his wines. Don't know what I did with that edition!
