I found a bottle of this in a wine shop in Boise. They have a nice selection and a decent staff so I should try to get there more often. Although it is 30 miles and on the far end of the town. Anyways, I look forward to trying this recommondation from MrDutton and Innkeeper and I will let you know what I think!

Add mine, too. I've put a case of the '98 down, but also still have some of the '97, which is really superb.

I finished off the bottle tonight. It was pretty darn good, thanks for the advice. Quite a bit fuller than the jadot beaujolais-villages. I may try to see if I can hit all 12 appelations of the beaujolais. I am looking foward to the 2000 beaujolais nouveau, which my local shop will have. (already checked)

My next french adventure is a 98 Rhone grenache/syrah mix.

Wanted a red sipper late yesterday after slaving in the yard and hadn't tried this in quite a while. Didn't know what to expect from this 10-yr-old "flower label". Put it in the fridge for a few minutes, then poured about 2 oz into a water glass with ice cubes and topped with San Pelligrino sparkling water. It kind of got lost at that temp, not much there. As I drained the glass and sucked on the ice, its flavors emerged... sort of a bruised prune at first. Poured an honest wine glass and it really started to show the bruised black fruit, browning throuhout, deep and brooding, nice finish. 13% alc/vol and the retailer's label says $10.99. Still have a couple more.
