I opened a bottle of '98 Duboeuf "Beaujolais Villages and was immediately greated by the aroma of fresh baked bread/rolls????? The aroma continued even in the glass. My wife couldn't smell it but I am sure that I did.
Has anyone else experienced this aroma?
Also I enjoyed the wines fresh fruit taste.
Regards, Chuck

You just have a good nose! Pretty common for certain wines.

Baked bread nose sounds a lot like "yeasty" to me, which may or may not be a good sign. I like it in light wines like Beaujolais, and I like it in some sparkling wines.
