2003 Chateau Bousquette Saint-Chinian Rose' ($11 Blue Hill Wine Shop). Alcohol 12.5%. Delightful summer rose'. Strawberries and red ripe cherries on the nose and upfront. More ripe fruit with crisp acidity across the palate, and a lovely finish. One to look for before the snow flies. Matched with Jordon's Natural Casing Beef Franks sauteed in OO & butter, with Dijon mustard in fresh bakery top sliced rolls; "doctored" canned baked beans; and the season's first Silver Queen corn-on-the-cob. No dessert other than more corn! Nice Tuesday night, on the last day of August.
