2002 Joel Taluau, St Nicolas de Bourgueil, Cuvee Du Domaine ($11.49 Chambers Street). Alcohol 12.5%. This is a more approachable wine than most of those from Bourgueil. It is a very fruity Cab Franc on the eye, nose, and tongue tip. Nice complexity and a good dose of Loire dirt in the middle, with some chewy but slightly unresolved tannin in the middle, and a nice finish.

We matched it with soup made out of lamb stock, barley, veggies, spices, and some browned ground lamb. Made biscuits with it. All very nice.
