2004 Helderberg Winery, Steen, Stellenbosch ($6.99 Kappy’s, Malden MA). Alcohol level 13.5%. This is very lovely Chenin Blanc. It gives you tropical fruit with pear overtones on the nose and upfront. In the middle you get a nice complexity of fruit including apple and a tinge of honey, and a creamy-smooth and balanced body. It finishes almost unbelievably, going on and on.

We matched it with Italian chicken sausages in hoagie buns with salad. Nice Monday night dinner.

Other half tonight out my half bottle. Didn't lose a thing. Matched with lime broasted chicken breasts, rice pilaf, and minted peas. Is this really Tuesday?

Both the wine and the chicken breast dish sound great.
