Anyone interested in seeing a D Day story for USA Today by my brother-in-law, David Kiley, check out: http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2004-06-02-war-father_x.htm

He tells thre story of the beach landing (he's over there now) and he has a side story about my father-in-law's role in the Star and Stripes newspaper then.

Nice job, with sound and pictures too.

IK, did you follow the whole thread, with the pictures and my mother-in-law reading from her letters? Moving.

She's 85 now and alone, but she has a great bunch of children on her side. David is going to make a book out of the letters, which number over a thousand.

That should make an excellent, but touching book. Would look forward to it.
