Wow, we didn't dodge the bullet on this storm like all the others this year. It hit us square on! We have about 10" and it's still snowing! That's a lot for us. But It's almost 11:00 a.m and I'm still in my bathrobe drinking coffee after finishing a bunch of school work. I like this work from home thing. I wish I could somehow phone in my lessons to the kids. No doubt someday it'll all be done on computer by some sort of virtual teacher and nobody will have to go to a school building! Colleges do plenty of that now with online courses. It'll probably trickle down to the little ones some day, don't you think? I'd miss the hugs from the little ones, however.

We got about the same, but I made it to my 8:15 doctor's appointment this morning. No new problems.

You can keep that stuff! It's nice to look at but I sure don't like being out in it.

Glad for that report IK. I agree with you HW. I've just been looking at the snow, not traveling in it. It's pretty treacherous out there.

Closing in on a foot here and it's still snowing. A flock of about 10 - 12 redwinged blackbirds came into the feeders a few hours ago. One of them got into one of the platform feeders and scooted seed down to the rest of the flock on the ground. Neat! Right now there about 6 cardinals, some juncos, titmice, chickadees and a few jays gulping down seed. Also, several woodpeckers and flickers hanging around the suet feeders.

Sure gets boring this time of year. Last 2 weeks been shoveling them sunrays from morn till dusk. 77* to the 90s' make for a nice change of pace frum the 73* to the low 80s'. Derned near a record today at a lite running 92. Cold snap in the pictuire. 75 to 78 later this week. Pass the brandy and put on the long-johns. WW

These past two winters have been big let-downs for me after several years in Madison. I LOVE the snow and can't get enough!
Georgie, I love snow days almost as much as my students

I'm quite jealous, really.

I'd take it!
And see, there's where my (relative) poverty comes in handy... I don't have a driveway!

March IS the cruelest month, and it lasts for about 54 days, too.

Cold as all get out in the Finger Lakes, but no snow. Last night, I had two fires going and an odd desire to jump into one of them...
