Any of you familiar with Z'Tejas grill? There are a handfull floating around the country. Two here in Austin. The dining is advertised as south by southwest, but its a very classy place. I'm a huge fan of their unique menu that includes dishes such as their tortilla-strip-covered, flash-fried shrimp with blackberry-horseraddish sauce; and their Chile Relleno- a poblano stuffed with several kinds of cheeses, nuts, fruits, and chicken; and their Salmon is to die for. Yum! The best part is, my brother-in-law is the operating manager of one on 6th street here in Austin, so I get the occasional free meal!
If you live near one, I highly reccomend you check it out.

Hi There DM. Just so happens the main man who started the first Z-Tejas lives and opened the flagship store right here in my beloved Phoenix. Also was the original proprietor of Ruth Chris' Steak house here and just started franchising the highly successful P.F.Changs' China Bistro stores. Jes' goes to show what ideas cna become. WW

Wow! So have you ever eaten there? What do you think? I hear all the stores are quite different in both menu and ambiance, so if you ever get the chance to try out others, you should!

.Have eaten at the three stores here in Phoenix and the Las Vegas location. As all of these are corp stores they all have the same menu. Good stuff at proper pricing and a fair wine list. A very successful franchise. WW
