I am looking at the cover of the January Patterso's Beverage Journal (a liquor oriented trade magazine dedicated to the idea that ANYTHING you can do to turn ethanol into money is a great thing) and it features Hip Hop artist Jadakiss pimping a Cognac made by Fuissigny but branded as NYAK (or the upscale version, XO for Men). They make a big point of how it has "zero burn or bite" which must mean it is quite sweet and the story is not about the product (which is after all disposable) but the marketing guys behind it.

I am predicting a HUGE increase in the whoring out of famous but corrupt brands of spirits and Champagnes in the coming year. And I still think some American entertainment gazillionaire will try to buy Roederer on the motive of "Why am I spending so much money on Cristal when I could be selling it to everyone else?"...My candidate is Rapper JZ trying to give Roederer to Byonce for an engagement present. The French of course will not let THAT happen but then W will get involved and it could get REALLY interesting.

16 hours to go till I head to Rio, Roberto

"Fuissigny but branded as NYAK "

Wanna bet it still is going to be mixed with coke!

Roederer being bought by JZ??? Oh good god I hope not! Just the thought gives me the willies!

Been on the road.

The reason you couldn't find the post is that the board is quite difficult to navigate. But don't bother ww, you'll hate the place. Too many trophy hunters who like to dish out criticism and edicts about their knowledge but can't take it back, and can't understand there is more to life than First Growths!

Seems like that forms in varying degrees with the level of knowledge. By the way, speaking of 1st growths I received a package of them by UPS today and will write glowing, indecipherable, flowery comments whenced I come back from the terrestial heights they will help me ascend. I didn't bother looking at any thread, just couldn't find Thomas P or Foodie-poo so I Xd' it. WW

No you won't--it's Pellechia.

Anyway, not worth the time.

WW, you said you like rose, and you wondered what in the world Lagrein is. So, you have a Lagrein and a Lagrein Rosato to try--the Cotes de Bergerac is gratis.
