I am looking for cool hip places to go that off the beaten path for wine exploration. Any ideas?

Thanks, this is helpful. Any cool places in this country for young people to go 29-35 years old. Funky locations?

You might look in your own backyard. The summer edition of Wine Press Northwest has an article on "Island Treasures" covering the Olympic Peninsula and surrounding islands. They look pretty cool and funky to me, but then again I'm a mite bit older than thee.

I would go to BC in Canada, some interesting wines, GORGEOUS scenery, great seafood, the money is in your favor and you just might meet the next Pamela Anderson.....could get mighty funky.

Ah, thanks so much for the information. I am doing research for the 29-35 wine drinking demographic and trying to find where these whippersnappers go to fulfill their wine pleasures. The hot new wine thing, if you will.If anything else comes to mind......
Thanks again

As mentioned there are many places to visit within our Puget Sound area. Or for weekend, out of country, trips the Okanagan is nice this time of year, & Vancouver Island also has some nice wineries. Idaho would be way off the beaten path as well. How about New York?

Assuming LAK is a straight male, (or gay female) and enjoys plastic.

Touché CCK!

Maybe by "funky" Boto meant the inevitable carcinogens that are produced from that plastic and a little heat.

No, he meant what he said :"you might just meet the NEXT Pamela Anderson" as in pre-silicon, unoaked, sans malolactic, pure Scanada-nadian sex machine in training. Just ask all the rockers who record there and all the TV guys who shoot there, Vancouver is the babe magnet for western Canada (Money, "big city life" and they have really nice, sophisticated, big budget strip clubs).

But then, maybe he would rather hug a redwood, Roberto
