The writer, Andrew Jefford, has a concise, clear article about wine and sugar (9 grams a liter in Yellow Tail 2002 Cabernet).

A great quote from the article makes his overall point:

"In the short term, the superficially attractive can often be much more popular than the genuinely worthwhile. The role of the critic is to point out the gold among the glitter."
