I can't help but wonder what the big deal is with Rush..I see far more dems that listen to him than any Repubs..
Maybe one thing is that ppl are tired of the mind numbing music and want to hear talk radio..
But people tell me they hate they guy and STILL listen to him...LOL

I vote Repub no matter who is running and I don't think I've listened to 5 minutes of Rush.

Actually I was a registered democrat. All that changed when the dems under slick willy and mizz Reno went after the honest gunowner.

I am VN vet..I've worked all my life, paid taxes and never have been arrested...

I have a great family with 3 educated kids that are in the health field..So to suggest to me that I need "watching" ...Offends me to the MAX.

Ergo---I vote straight Rebublican now.

Well with so many Republicans AND Democrats wanting to legislate how I think, what I feel, whom I marry, and what I do in the privacy of my home, I give each and every candidate a fair bit of scrutiny, regardless of party affiliation. The Renos scare me as much as the Hestons.

Of course, it can't happen here (chuckle, chuckle) but following the party line is exactly what facsism, communism and all other isms require of their subjects in order to grab and maintain power; single-issue wedge politics is the first step.

Hopefully the most important thing besides a love of wine I've instilled in my kids is to vote as an independent. Here in Az if you register as an independent you don't get to vote in the primaries. Makes for some funny canidates that get in and some very qualified ones I didn't help stay on the ballot. Been a long time since I worked for Barry. WW

Same thing in NY State, ww. As an Independent, have no say in primaries, a fact that makes me question our so-called democratic system that clearly endorses only two political parties, which look increasingly alike.

Whoever says that votes don't count should look at us crazy folk in California. A porn star was 10th out of a hundred plus candidates in the recall. Yikes. And how can republican and democrats look more and more alike when the democratic party is fracturing into hundreds of small splinter groups?

Answering two posts; Willip# No and independent vote is not a " Wasted Vote ". As an independent you a free to vote in the general elections for any party, any kook, any person you hope will do 1/3 of the things in their campaign promises. I voted for LBJ but compared to the politicians running today, Barry was the most straightforward Pol. that ever ran for the Presidency. I would compare him to John McCain very favorably.
