If the percentages on this board reflect the general population, I'm probably in the minority here as an active player and fan of soccer. However, there may be some soccer fans on this board that didn't hear today's news from the Confederation's Cup in France. Marc-Vivien Foe, a wonderful player for the Cameroon National Team and for Manchester City in the English Premiership collapsed during the semifinal game this afternoon and later passed away. It is believed the heat on the field may have contributed to a heart attack. He was only 28. Very sad day for the world of soccer and the sporting world. I watched the game this afternoon on TV, then had a game, myself, this evening. It was quite hot and humid in Atlanta today, and it really made me think.

I hadn't heard that, dananne. That is indeed a sad thing. Please be careful in this heat.

what a tragic loss. The heat can really surprise people, even those in very good shape. I, too, hope that everyone is careful while enjoying the weather.
