CG, yes it is. The conversation is about quality being or not being proportional to price--or the other way around.

My position is and likely will remain that quality and price do not necessarily share a relationship; they might but it ain't guaranteed.

There are people in this world who just don't care to explore that possibility. Maybe they have enough money so they don't have to. I think even if I had all the money I could dream of having, I'd still not pay for something when I know its quality can be matched at a better price to me.

Anyone who has been around wine very long soon realizes that price and quality do not correlate very well. Can I name some very expensive wines that are stunning? Of course. Can I name some very expensive wines that leave the taster wondering how they got suckered out of their money? You betcha!
