... & seems to screw up posts. I can't even delete the friggin' post.

Okay, I have to draw a line in the sand somewhere. Our society is getting too many wingnuts.

Lesbian Beats Three Guys for Homecoming King

FREDERICK, Md. (March 7) - Hood College is reviewing its homecoming rules after a lesbian was crowned king, a college official said.

Jennifer Jones, the 21-year-old senior who beat out three men for the honor, said the crowning was a positive step for the private liberal arts college.

Aaarrrggghhh!!!

It's only a matter of time before some college will have a Homecoming QUEEN.

Of course since Hood College has only accepted guys for a couple of years, they may have had a "SheKing" all along.

I agree bucko. The crap that is touted as a step in the right direction these days is totally out of hand. As long as it's different or new it's considered progressive. That being said, I want in on this contest with Verne and the quasi dude. The fun wouldn't be in winning or loosing...

These are sad days. What ever happened to a man being a Gentleman and a Woman being a lady. I have no problem with sexual preferences, but for cryin out loud, be a man or a woman. Chilvary is dying.

i just can't figure how it's any of our business what the student body of a small college wants to do...

maybe i'm just old fashioned... you know, minding my own business... oh well.

That lots of people can be happy in lots of different ways and they should be who they are, whoever that is, and furthermore, they should treat everyone equally well in thei lives. Kindness and goodness don't discriminate.

(but I hope they have higher goals in life than becoming the freakin' homecoming king or queen...)

This has nothing to do with discrimination -- a card that is played too often and has lost impact BTW.

My recommendation--drop the thread.

Nothing seems to come of these kinds of online back and forth except acrimony.
