Today on the way to the golf cource I stopped by a new winery that opened this year. It is only about 5 mi. from where we play golf.

I purchased 2 wines. I am drinking one now. It is Muscadine with some Cabrenet. It is a transparent burgandy color. Aroma of Muscadine pour out of the bottle. Sweet Muscadines up front with a little chocolate. Then a little bite of the Cab. Short finish, but overall a nice quaffer if you like the sweeter wines. I had a small bowl of reduced carb. strawberry ice cream with maple syrup poured over it, with the wine. (hey, don't knock it till you try it) I am now on my second glass and the 13.75% Alc. is starting to kick in.

I also picked up the Dry Noble. It wasen't what you think of when you hear "dry red wine". It is hard to get away from the sweetness of the Muscadine Grapes. But that was just from a small taste at the winery. I'll post more on it when i try it.

They have a nice web site also.
