Anyone know where this winery is? I have an empty bottle of Wolf Creek, 2000, Sonoma County, Merlot, vinted & bottled by Wolf Creek Vineyards, Ukiah, CA -- and I want to buy at least a case or more of it! It was great! And very reasonably priced! I have searched the net and find nothing except for a winery in Virginia, which is the wrong one.
Thanks! Any info. appreciated!

When a label reads "vinted and bottled by" it is quite possible there is no winery behind it, just a license and a marketing plan.

That kind of wine is usually purchased bulk and then bottled and given a label. In fact, you could possibly drink the same wine under another label, and not know it.

As for Wolf Creek--maybe it does exist as a bona fide winery, but it did not produce that wine.

Hi Virginia, and welcome to the Wine Board. Could the wine have come from the Wolf Creek Inn in Oregon. It is an old and distinguished establishment with a renowned dinning room. It would be logical for them to have a proprietary brand of wine. There are many California wineries that bottle wines for operations like that. We have them in establishments like that here in Maine, so it would not be unusual to find such in Oregon.
