Title of an interesting piece in "Dan Berger's Vintage Experiences" this morning. For example, "---Per capita consumption rose in every state [from '01 to '02], led by Tennessee (up 12/9%) and Alabama (12.7%)." When did Auburnwine move there?

It simply means that I increased my own personal consumption by 12.7%.

No, wine drinking becomes a much greater option in Alabama -- with better choices and more accessibility. I'm sure that beer is the overwhelming libation of choice, but there are more wine shops, better selections at the grocery, and better options for having a glass with dinner.
