Yesterday it was in the low 60's and sunny. Today it's 32 and snowing. Will winter ever end???

We had excellent thawing over the weekend, but now snow flakes are falling on my head.

We've had a drastic shift in our weather also. The balmy hi 80s' are now gone and we're seeing our normal mid-70s' again. Break out them longies. WW

Actually, been wondering why I moved here from CA. This is about the time my tomatoes would be going into the garden if I was still there --- but I'm not.

KC,

I wonder that same thing each year between Feb and March--not exactly thinking California, though, more like the Mediterranean!

I really hate March, especially since it has 58 days in it.

Having said that, now that we have the greenhouse, we've already got a garden started. Next time you pop into the FLakes you must see our new pride.

KC,

I have six cuttings, but something seems wrong. They aren't showing like they are going to take, and I cannot figure out why--yet.

Three trees are producing--and one is used as the mother for cuttings.

This summer, I'll see if they can make it in the greenhouse, if they made it through the winter in there. It;s unheated and this has been the coldest and longest winter here in 30 years.

We just had palm sized hail here today, and it was crazy, no kidding. A buddy of mine emailed me an mpg that was absolutely insane. Austin, Texas 80 degrees, then a green sky and bang it hit! Time to celebrate the end of the storm with a bottle of prosecco, Texas-style!
