One of those ISP moments where you can't connect for 30 minutes. I need to get DSL or Cable modem -- only trouble is that they are not yet available in my area. !@#$%^&*

I got cable modem two weeks ago, and now have much faster Internet access, but only intermittent email connectivity. Glad I kept my old ISP as backup for now. But yeah, I also endure half-hour-plus waits to log onto the ISP, just to check email. Bah!

Have had good luck connecting with no wait using Juno, though I finally had to pay up b/c they've restricted their free service. Speed is consistently 48000. However, their setup does require some adjustment if you don't use their email.

If you want a backup for email, Bluelight.com is still free for the moment.

P.S. I only used "~!@#$%^&*?+!" language in association with the Compujerks ISP dis-service.
