Question. I am having friends over for chili and to watch football. I was planning to serve soft drinks and beer. A couple of the friends who are coming are wine drinkers. May I serve wine with chili? The chili contains ground beef - should it be red wine? If the wine-drinking friends bring a bottle, may I serve it or is it intended to be used at another time?

Welcome to the Board Rookiechgo. Get a red Zindandel. An alternative is an earthy Spanish red, that you would have to consult your retailer about. The reason is that not all Spanish wines are evenly distributed around the U.S.
