D spent a long weekend in Houston visiting her sisters, touring a high end home show, and attending a live performance of Topol in Fiddler on the Roof.... even got in an Astros game.

I had given her a list of wines to look for at Spec's from their Website, all Italians, hoping she might get 2-3 bottles.... and what did she get? Holy smokes! A mixed case, including Batasiolo Nebbiolo, Castillo di Monatero Sangiovese, San Felice Rosso di Monatalcino, Col d'Orcia Rosso di Montalcino.... my mouth is watering at the prospect of popping those beauties! They won't be squandered on pizzas!

Sounds great! I saw Topol in "Fiddler on the Roof" also at the new Durham Performing Arts Center.

We had watched the movie with our Sunday night small group only a few weeks ago, so she was anxious to see it live.... and it's his swan song, apparently.... his last tour. She said it was wonderful.

The home show must have been something else. It included a new 8200 sq ft home with a PASSIVE mahogany wine room for 1500 bottles. Price wasn't specified but was likely close to three mil.
