The Wall Steet Journal has an excellent column today about the experiences of travelers who were stranded in Newfoundland on 9/11, and the ways in which they were welcomed as unexpected visitors. And then there's a zinger of an op-ed cartoon in the Washington Times, at http://www.washingtontimes.com/op-ed/garner.htm. Each of those - the column and the cartoon - fit my perceptions of the two charities discussed. Garner's depiction of the Doughnut Dolly on the stretcher brings back memories of the three very busy ARC ladies at our old basecamp, at An Khe.
