Both Verne (winoweenie, WITH the Child Bride who must be 60 years younger than he!) and Joe Ziomek (joeyz6, picking up wines for his brother's wedding) graced our door today. Unfortunately Verne had to leave twenty minutes before Joe got here or we would have had a quarum and had to open something....

You tolt' me Joey wouldn't be there for 1&1/2 hours. If I'da had enny ideer that he'd show in even a half hour we's have been delighted to stay and stiff you for a bottle of something. Hope the wedding was perfect Joeyz. We're heading for the beloved desert tomorrow via San Diego. Newport Beach was lovely and I'm back in CBs' good graces for a while. AND Roberthino, she's not 60, only 27 younger, she just looks 60. WW

How did you like the CD I gave you? Did you have to make that pit stop?

Hell, it is not unusual for WW to see several people and two pink elephants in an empty store. Get with the program son......

A shame we couldn't be there at the same time, Verne. I was disappointed to have missed you. Maybe another time! I'm in California often.

The wedding was wonderful, and I got a ton of compliments on the wine. You were a great help, Roberto.

Roberto,

I hope to get in your shop Tuesday evening if I get out of my meeting in downtown L.A. early enough. Have to take the long way around to go from there to Santa Clarita, but your selection sounds like it will be worth it.

Woodsy ole pal. You're only 6 blocks off the 405 that takes you dead into the 5 and Santa Clarita. And if you're in downtown LA the 10 takes rite to Santa M and the " Worlds' Champagne Headquarters." WW

It's not the six blocks I'm worried about, It's fighting my way over to the west side at rush hour. I have recently managed to live outside L.A. longer than I lived there, and I'm not disappointed.
