Thomas was gracious enough to send us a copy of his wonderful ode to Mediterranean family values, garlic belches, olive oil and gladiator sweat love potions and, oh... yes... wine, to use in the store to educate pharosees of the Merlot with Velveeta sort, and I LOVE IT!!!!!

The ISBN # is 0-88496-444-2 and the actual title is "Garlic, Wine and Olive Oil, Historical Anecdotes and Recipes" by our very own Thomas Pellechia. I promise to buy five copies off of Amazon and give them as gifts this Southern Decadence Day....

Roberto

Couldn't agree more. Great read, great reference, great recipes. If Amazon still has some fine. Thought Foodie had whole remaining stock as publisher went belly up. At any rate, those interested can get it at www.is-wine.com

Humble me! Thanks Roberto. As IK said, I do own all the books; my publisher went out of business so I bought the remaining stock. But it is listed on Amazon too--in a direct link to me.

Yesterday I did a book signing at Heron Hill Winery--offed 22 copies. Why in Hell am I wasting time trying to sell wine when I should be selling my writing???

Just checked. Mine is indeed signed. It almost sounds as if a rarer version would be one that isn't signed, but I wouldn't trade mine.

Yeah, KC, actually yours is signed by my poodle; I was sick that day; the damned dog is too smart for his own good...
