First had this year's Gritty's Christmas Ale on tap at their store in Freeport where we stopped for lunch in November. For the past month it has been available thoughout New England in bottles. It is a really lovely brew; it is nutty, spicy, very slightly sweet, and yet quite hoppy. All this makes me very hoppy.

IK is hoppy happy. With a name like First it could get confusing (Who's on First?) I thought you were saying you first had this ale and then realized that the store was named "First." Correct?
I won't be back to the computer until January 3d. Have a Happy New Year all! And be careful on the roads! I will probably stay home on New Year's Eve and sip on a "Port" from Australia and more sips New Year's Day for the Cotton Bowl (Nebraska vs. Auburn). Go Huskers!
