FYI

If you're into big bad Shiraz, Wine Exchange has 2002 Dead Arm for $34.99, which is a very good price.

Can't think of a more perfect name for what I think of that style of wine--just add the prefix "under" to the word arm

I agree, but i was trying to be sensitive to people who enjoy that style of wine because if that style is to your liking, then it's a great deal. I prefer juice that's a little less rock 'n roll.

I like the style occasionally on it's own but it is a terrible food friendly wine.

a terrible food pairing wine, but i have found that its a good food ingredient. from the early years of my pallet development, i had a few of these big wines in my cellar, and have found that they work very well as a base for tomato sauce.......Grange over pasta anyone ? I can understand them working well in tomato sauce--all that blueberry-like syrup offsets the tomato acidity...

Just think of the fine--almost 3 of them--Provence bottles of wine you can get for $35.00!
