1998 Wyndham Estate Bin 555 Shiraz

Opened this yesterday....vegital nose which put me off. After 30 minutes nose was black fruit, touch of vanilla. Dark plum and mature dark fruit with a very small dose of oak, check it out Bucko!, very dark/black ruby (even the fingers have color)and plush look. A very nice wine......vacu-vin and re-open tonight.....WOW...what a difference, upfront fruit, soft tannins, thick, smooth mouthfeel and moderately long finish. All this for $8.89. The Aussie 98' vintage is shinning through!!!

Drew-bub, The 98 vintage in Olymic-Land is reported to be one of the best ever. Now that I`m taking a sabbatical from the 92 I`ll try this lil` sucker. winoweenie

I had a bottle of this over the weekend and it was great! Although it costs a little more here in Cleveland - $11/bottle - it's still very much worth it. I'm going to go get another bottle or two soon.
