Around $9 per bottle. This wine is wonderfully fruity with loads of cherry and blackberries. The tannins are soft and silky. The wine isn't sweet, but tastes like it is because of the extreme fruitiness. This is a very good wine, especially for the price.

Couldn't agree more. A very reliable producer year in year out. First tasted it in a Mount Dora, FL wineshop while Mother was spending our money elsewhere. Thought it was something fancy. Was amazed when the prop told me the price.

I just tried the McGuigan 2001 Shiraz, largely on this threads' recommendation, and I have to disagree. Its got a funky head and uninspiring flavors, I'd never mistake this for something expensive. Maybe I just got a bad bottle, but caveat emptor.

Strongly prefer Black Opal Shiraz in this price range.

Maybe not year in, year out. Haven't tried the '01.
