If you like White Burgundy this is a great little bottle of wine. It is made by Drouhin

Nice apple, pear fruit with soft oak and beautifully balanced acid. It's fast becoming my favorite summer wine.

I get it at a local grocer (mom and pop - not chain) and they are high on all their prices.

I pay $11.99 per bottle, but I'm sure other retailers would sell it for less.

Definately worth every penny. In my opinion, of course!

While perusing the multitude of bottles it seems this may be hard to spot (but I'll look). I wish to try white burgundy's but they seem to be too pricey. What grape does wht burg come from? This ones price would work though. WP

This is a very American'ized' label. It's not as confusing as the "traditional" French labels.

White Burgundy is Chardonnay. Red Burgundy is Pinot Noir. Those are the two primary grapes grown there.

The difference between Burgundy's and most American Chardonnay's is the acid. American Chard's are pretty "flabby" when compared to France.

You are going to notice the oak on sight and when you taste it, but the acid beautifully balances it out.

Being that it's Drouhin, you should be able to find it.
