1996 STG (Domaine Saint George), Santa Barbara County, Pinot Noir; $8.00, 2/$15.00. A very decent pinot. Had it with leftover roast pork tonight, and it was delightful. Ample fruit on the nose and tongue. Nicely balanced through the palate, and a sweet finish. For under $10 have not heard of a better one other than possibly the Pepperwood Grove that Drew posted at end of last year. At any rate, it's great, and there are at least two Best Buys of pinot under ten.

This is scary IK. Last night we had the '95 St. George pinot which was great! My fav wine guy has it for $4.99, obviously some left over cases from some defunct distributor. A very nice pinot at a great price.

I think I posted on the DSG 97 cab, dry creek sometime last year. It was a spectacular bottling for around 10 bucks. The saint do release some good affordable juice ebber-now-n-thin. WW
