Brilliant deep purple with lightening at the rim. An aroma of licorice, blackberries, cherries, and a little oak. Medium to full bodied with ripe fruit flavors followed by soft tannins and a good, long finish...the wine just kept getting better and better! This much flavor and 12.5% alcohol makes for a "WOW" wine. Merlot, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon, don't know the ratio. Roberto, I know you're gonna hate this but this is a great wine for $9.

Drew, I have no problem with Mr. Cotarella making his Australian wines, I just wish he would do it in Australia! I notice that you did NOT describe it as a great "Italian" wine for $9.00......

I also wish you could taste the sort of wonderful, rustic, terroir driven wines that have been victim to viticultural genocide in order to produce that wine.

But that's just me, Roberto

Roberto, I would have no basis to compare the wine to Italian. My knowledge and experience with wines of Italy is well, minuscolo. I'd like to taste one nenth of the wines that pass through your shop.

I was just drinking the Falesco Vitiano 2000 Umbria, tonight, with chicken and pasta at dinner. The wine is very tasty, indeed! I paid $10 here in Norte California, and I will be buying more.

This is one I do not get the huge interest in.
I must sell six cases a week, and have been for many months.
Not my bag for sure, anyone else have any thoughts on this wine?

I like it. Cherry and earth on the nose, a fruity entry, good acidity, some anise on the finish. 88/90 as per Bucko's system.
