What would be a good selection for some good old fashion smoked sausage?

hmmmmmmm what type or variety of smoked sausage? Brats, Italian etc?

Personally, I like zins with my grilled brats or italian sausage.

But thats just me.

Hi Lilgto, and welcome to the Wine Board. Kind of agree with AZ. If you mean the kind that comes in the impossible to open packages, you can drink almost anything with it. The Zin (a red one, that is) would go with most meat in that genre.

You may also want to consider some Alsacian or German riesling. Remember, these are food wines and the people in these areas eat a lot of sausage.
