Picked this up with a purchase of an assortment of daily drinkers after a round of golf yesterday in Pennsylvania near the Susquehanna River. Beautiful day!

60% Grenache, 30% Old Carignan, 10% Cinsault
Vin de Pays de la Principaute d'Orange
The Principality of Orange, In Provence, (on the left bank of the Rhône river), facing the Dentelles de Montmirail and the Mont Ventoux. A very light and food friendly red which shows raspberry and strawberry flavors with a hint of spicy earthiness. Soft and approachable. 13.5% Alc/vol. $7

Hmmm. NV. That'll get them around the problematic recent vintages. Still waiting for the 03's to dry up and the 04's and 05's to ship from the region. Jaboulet distributors just dumped batches of '03 Paralelle 45 as a closeout, next vintage (05 I've been told) arrives momentarily. Can't wait. With few exceptions I haven't liked the 03 vintage. Not sure why they skipped over the 04.

Was '04 the year they had flooding in the Rhone district?

That would kill a vintage for sure but I never heard that "weather report".
