From one of my favorite areas, Nimes. This Syrah, Grenache and Carignan blend shows the earthy, bitter chocolate and tar nuances that I associate with the red wines from this region. Syrah stands predominate with spicy blackberry flavors and dark cherry from the grenache. Got even better over the hours of sipping. Some gritty tannins on the linguring finish. 13%Alc/vol. $9.99 and worth it.

Anything drinkable for ten bucks these days is a good value. Gasoline will be there before long!

Must come from the small vineyard next to the one I posted.............. grin!

I'll try to find this in the local area and I'll give it a try. Gas here is still at 1.59 to 1.67 per gallon for regular, depending on brand.

I just had the Kwik King vintage March 2004 and it was $1.67. It smelled like victory.

Another great recomendation from Drew. I had the 2000 vintage this week with a New York Strip Steak. Verrry good!

I have only been able to occasionaly lurk at the postings. Things aer getting real busy at work. Last year was one of the worst we have had. This year we are making up for it. This could be our best year.
