Got caught in traffic going North on 101 in SF waiting to get across the Bay Bridge.......good excuse to get off at 4th Street and hit K&L wines. Picked up a few things but for tonight, tried to find a good QPR wine.

Dark dense purple, opaque. Aged wood and dark fruit on the noise and same on the palate, plus a hit of earthiness, glycol (the alcohol?) and a decent acidity. Full body wine with dense flavor and long finish but definitely finishes hot (ABV 13.5%) plus some tannins.

Decent value at $10.99. I would do this again.
