This one may have been a bad bottle cuz everyone at the store who tried it took a double take at the bottle ..

Started off with a nice perfumed, redfruit nose and a very heavy oak. On tasting, the nice red fruit gave way quickly to the heavy oak and finished bitter and hot.

Just tried one of these while on vacation in the mountains and thought it was corked. Not a fulfilling experience.

Very hot, very oaky, very little fruit and tasted astringent.

Maybe it's their "house style"

Thanks for your notes. Always great to compare with/learn from someone elses notes at this stage of my learnings!
