You have a german Pinot Noir.

Trocken means its dry. Auslese means its from upper grade grapes. Its grown near the city of Bonnigheim at the Sonnenberg Vineyard. Its from the region of Wurttemburg of Germany which is near Stuttgart. This is one the better red wine areas of Germany (a non red wine producing country). I am not familiar with the producer, but being of the Auslese level it should be good to anywhere on up. 97 was a good year for riesling in Germany so it probably was good for the reds as well.

Pop your bottle and let us know what you think of it.
