3 oz. pour for $5.00
Pale straw color. Nose and flavors evoke lemon and also some floral qualities (lemon blossoms perhaps--I don't really know what lemon blossoms smell like). A little green apple on the nose also. Some viscosity. Tastes very pure and harmonious and more weighty than most QbA wines (the basic level of German Riesling). Good fruit/acid balance. Not tart and not really sweet.
I had this with a Maine lobster ravioli appetizer with buttersquash puree (scented by rosemary or anise?) Considered the Brocard Chardonnay as perhaps a better match to the dish but wanted to try the Donnhoff Riesling.
