2007 Now & Zen, Alsace White (Approx $10 Whole Foods). Alcohol level: 12.5%, sealed with screw top. When true love picked this one up, I looked at the front label and thought “Blue Nun d’Alsace.” Then I looked at the back label and it said that the wine was: 40% Sylvaner, 30% Pinot Blanc, 15% Riesling and 15% Gewurztraminer. So I said what the hay!

We matched it tonight with Haddock a’la Crème, carrots in butter and honey, and rice cooked in veggie stock. The wine went very well with the food, but the last glass by itself wasn’t too impressive.

Since we like food wines, we will probably buy again.
