german fine wines

I was weened on good german wines ... so i find it hard to broaden my horizons to wines that are less sweet than a 1 or 2 .
What do you think of Dr. Zen zen .

Which province are you in. If you are in Ontario, then there is a decent selection (not great mind you) of german Rieslings (some from the very nice 2001 vintage)

There are also an amazing variety of Niagara rieslings that you can try too from wineries such as Chateau des Charmes, Inniskillin, Cave Spring, etc,...

I've not heard of Dr. Zen. I love Dr. Loosen wines though.

I have tried the Piesporter, Kessler,and even some Mosel its very good !
Dr Zenzen is about a 2 on sweetness... very fruity taste. Its a kabinett Gau- Odernheimer Rheinhessen. Goes down very smooth.
I am in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The private wine stores here have an awsome selection.

My favorite of the german regions is Urtziger Wurtzgarten. I love the complexity of this vineyard region. Also like the Wehlener Sonnenuhr. My favorite producer has to be Dr. Loosen.
